Portugal

Lisbon

Lisbon's high-value homes are mostly apartments in historic buildings — Chiado, Príncipe Real, Lapa, Avenida da Liberdade — and townhouses with gardens.

Cascais & Sintra

From the villas of Quinta da Marinha and Estoril to the estates in the Sintra hills, this coast combines Atlantic weather, historic properties and a marina in the centre of town.

Comporta & Melides

Between the rice fields, pine forest and dunes of the Alentejo coast, Comporta and Melides have become one of Europe's most sought-after second-home destinations — and one of the more particular places to insure a house.

Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo & Vilamoura

The resorts of the central Algarve — Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura — hold some of the most valuable villas in Portugal, often used by the family for part of the year and let for the rest.

Porto & the Douro

From the townhouses of Foz and Boavista in Porto to the quintas along the Douro, the region combines historic city homes with working wine estates.

Madeira

Madeira's quintas and modern villas sit on steep, green slopes above Funchal and along the south coast — spectacular sites that insurers assess with care.

Spain

Marbella, Benahavís & Sotogrande

From the Golden Mile and Nueva Andalucía to La Zagaleta and Sotogrande, the western Costa del Sol has the largest concentration of high-value villas in Spain.

Mallorca

Fincas in the Tramuntana, sea-front villas in Andratx, apartments in Palma: Mallorca combines historic stone houses with some of the Mediterranean's busiest marinas.

Ibiza

Ibiza's villas are often second homes, used intensely in summer and closed for much of the year — with guests, events and boats in between.

Madrid

In the Salamanca district, Chamberí and Jerónimos, and in the villas of La Moraleja and La Finca, Madrid is where many international families keep their main home — and their collections.

Barcelona, Costa Brava & Sitges

Modernista apartments in the Eixample, villas in Pedralbes and Sitges, sea-front houses on the Costa Brava: Catalonia has some of Spain's most distinctive homes.

Jávea, Moraira & Altea

On the northern Costa Blanca, villas on the hillsides of Jávea, Moraira and Altea look over the Mediterranean — many of them second homes of northern European families.

How we work

In writing first

We read your current policies and the property before proposing anything, and send you a written opinion.

Specialist insurers

Homes and valuables are placed with insurers that specialise in private clients, chosen for the wording each risk needs; international health with Allianz Care, Cigna Global and APRIL International — always subject to the insurer accepting the risk.

One adviser, two countries

Portugal and Spain with the same adviser. In Spain we work under the EU freedom to provide services.

Request a written opinion
